WHAT WE DO

We equip and enlighten young learners towards a more intentional, qualitative and transformation-based education, through reorientation and life skills trainings; seminars, and educational events intended to raise holistic individuals and produce future competent, productive, and transformation-conscious workforce for the society.
We help learners embrace education more intentionally, to make a life, not just a living. While stakeholders focus on reforms, policies and structure, Lead-out Education Foundation focuses on addressing learners’ related issues, and enlightens them to participate in their education by taking academic responsibility for effective and functional education.

OBJECTTIVES

To inspire intentional and transformation-based education by exposing the purpose of education, and connecting its relevance to future aspirations.
To engender qualitative education by spurring students back to academic responsibility, promoting reading.
To erase negative dependency and educational malpractices among youths.
To raise inventive and diversified minds in this generation and beyond.
To inculcate life skills and or values for success in life.
To reaffirm our stewardship to God.
To work in collaboration with government and donor agencies, corporate bodies and foundations of like minds.

We believe qualitative education is impossible without learners’ involvement in taking academic responsibility. Hence, we deliver trainings that enable them do so.
We believe education should be intentional, and align with one’s path or interests in life as it is an intentional education that will deliver better outcome in tangible and intangible ways.
We believe education does more than puts food on the table as it holds transformational power to alter societal beliefs, shape values, and produce significant transformation.
We believe education should produce independent thinkers, inventors, entrepreneurs, problem solvers, and not increase dependency.
We believe a knowledge-focused education hold better outcome than a paper qualification/certificate-focused education.

Over the years, Lead-out has been impacting lives and redefining education for learners to embrace it intentionally, more passionately, and use it for personal and societal transformation, through the following initiatives.

LEAD-OUT REORIENTATION TRAINING STREAMS (LRTS)

LRTS houses a plethora of cutting edge foundational trainings that dissects and redefines education, career, culture, and leadership. One of our specialties is equipping the younger generation to acquire a more intentional and qualitative education, to gain appropriate skills relevant to stand-out in any chosen career, and also make impact in their societies.

PROJECT IMEM: (Inspire. Mentor. Enroll. Monitor)

Lead-out through this programme reaches out to inner-city /underprivileged dropouts, prepares them through tutoring and mentorship, and integrates them back to school. Lack of support for children from poor socio-economic background sometimes results in children taking up adult responsibilities, and trading their teen’s years to fend for themselves and their family through hawking or child labour forfeiting education. For some, the death of a parent or any major family setback means the end of education—especially for girls. Then for others, lack of motivation to be in school seeing the financial situation of the family leads to truancy. Whatever the situation resulting to Dropping out of school—be it financial or failure, PROJECT IMEM essentially works with drop-outs/out-of-school children to reinstate them back to school, including those who have never been to school before.

WORLD BOOK DAY:

Every year, Lead-out Education Foundation commemorates World Book Day with learners, inspiring them to read. As an organization, one of our core objectives is to engender qualitative education by spurring students back to academic responsibility, promoting reading. Hence, Lead-out Education Foundation adopts World Book Day to celebrate books and reading with learners in a way that develop habitual readership and resuscitate reading culture. In the process, students are also supported with books, writing materials, and other educational resources.

LEAD-OUT EDUCATION INTERVENTION AID: this is where we respond to learners’ emergency training and financial needs. Digital, literacy, mental health, and other remedial trainings centered on education or current issues that threaten education or learners’ wellbeing fall under this umbrella.

Training:  training is our primary task, as it is also reflected internally. We value trainings to bridge skills gap in the team, and to stay relevant in our sphere of influence. 

Unique Impact: Impact is our lifestyle. Not just impact, but unique impact. When we leave people, they should be so transformed that they can’t help but change or take positive steps.

Teamwork: We are teamwork and goal oriented, as teamwork is important in achieving goals at Lead-out. We believe everyone’s gift is unique and carefully deploy staff or volunteers in their areas of giftedness.

ABOUT US


Studies revealed that:
40% Nigerian Adults never finish reading a fiction book from cover to cover after leaving school.

30 million Nigerians have graduated from secondary schools with poor reading skills, attributed to poor habit cultivated during their stay at school.

A turnover of 75% unemployable graduates, and 25% employable ones.

A good percentage of students no longer uphold studiousness or hard work as our school system is plagued with numerous social vices such as academic laziness resulting to examination malpractices, cultism, hooliganism and corruption.

Products of our educational institutions parade mind-blowing certificates and degrees, but are really half-baked and empty-headed.
There is system failure in service delivery in all facets of our national economy.

The mad rush to obtain paper qualification by most Nigerians without passing through academic rigour, thus heightening malpractices and indolence.

And, frequent conflicts, secret cults, sexual abuse, certificate forgery, and drug abuse plus other unvalued lifestyles constitute a fixed pointer to the decline in the positive value system in Nigeria.

According to UN’s report, Nigeria has the highest number of school drop-outs as Children. In addition, UIS records that about 258 million children and youth are out of school. 62 million of lower secondary school age, and 138 million of upper secondary age.

Guess what, 50% of the world population of out of school children are in NIGERIAN. We are changing the narratives!

Education must yield its original result of raising competent, productive, ethical and transformation-conscious human capital for Africa!

We believe reorientation of learners can fix these and reposition young people for invention, entrepreneurship, significance and global recognition.

Formal school system alone cannot produce holistic individuals into the society. Hence, Lead-out answered the call to be an education support institution.
Incorporated in response to education/academic gaps and challenges that adolescents are confronted with in:

Lead-out Education Foundation (LOUTEF) caters for non-formal education/training needs of adolescents, ages 13 to 17. We provide solution to aforementioned problems, in Nigeria and by extension Africa.
